You should rely on more than just the Register for your Iowa news. The CR Gazette does a much better job covering statewide news (i.e., things happening outside the DM metro area). Granted, the Gazette is in ground zero for flood hell, but their coverage has been absolutely outstanding--check it out. Granted, their recent political silence (in the 2nd CD GOP primary) has been disappointing, they are putting out a quality news product that seems to serve much of the state better than the DMR.
